Psi-ense's mission is to help innovators to focus on their areas of expertise without having to learn their way into the minutiae of finance, marketing and the many other specialised skills required for running a business.

What we do

We will work with you to achieve your goals
Whilst money matters will underpin any business, not everyone wants to be a captain of industry and you may have goals in life other than spectacular wealth. Many academics want to commercialise their ideas but remain within the university to carry on their research, while others will be comfortable moving into the world of commerce. Psi-ense will work with you to make these options achievable.

We seek to bridge the gap between academia and commerce
The Lambert Report highlighted the different languages spoken by universities and industries as a key barrier to innovation. The need for excellent communication between all parties involved is at the core of our approach, ensuring both that the ideas can be turned into commercial reality and that the innovator's vision is retained

If we don't think it's going to work, we'll tell you
If it's been done before, if your technical plans are based on unproven assumptions, if your sales projections are wildly optimistic, rather than take your money until your business dies, we will let you know what we think and suggest alternative approaches if possible.

What we won't do

We won't tell you it's easy
Setting up and growing a business is tough. If it wasn't everyone would do it. It will involve risk, an element of luck, but most of all, hard work. By providing resources to support your core capabilities, Psi-ense will ensure that your efforts are focused on achieving results

We won't guarantee success
Success in business is always the result of teamwork and no single element can ensure success. But we will put you in the best possible position to take advantage of the options available. For instance, it may be necessary to take things in smaller steps that perhaps you had envisaged, but this may improve your company's viability in the long run.

We're not offering a one stop shop.
Even a small business will require specialist knowledge from a wide range of experts. Psi-ense can provide a vital core of services to support your day-to-day activities.
